Steve’s creative talent is enhanced by a passionate desire to stay on
the leading edge of advertising and to produce innovative designs that
strike bull’s eye results. His extensive experience is diverse and covers
the full spectrum of clients and advertising media.
Steve has honed his design skills since 1980 as the Art Director of
Grand Rapids Business Journal /Grand Rapids Magazine, Senior
Designer for Amway Distributor Communications and Creative
Resources Inc. and as Art Director for Allie Design. He has broad
experience as lead designer for clients including Borgess Health
System, Butterworth Health System, the Kent County Health
Department, Dermatology Associates, the Urban Institute for
Contemporary Arts, Frederik Meijer Gardens, Circle Theatre,
the Gerald R. Ford International Airport and the Zondervan Corporation.
He is also a member of the prestigious Society of Illustrators and
earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Kendall College of Art
and Design with an illustration, communications and advertising
major. Steve also regularly attends advanced courses in computer
design and website development and has won numerous national
and international awards.
In the community, Steve regularly volunteers his creative skills for
WYCE, Circle Theatre and the Urban Institute for Contemporary
Arts. He serves as a board member of the Bear Creek Neighborhood
Association, is a soccer coach and frequently volunteers for the
Rockford Public Schools.
